Under general guidance, the Senior Applications Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for HxGN EAM (formerly Infor EAM), overseeing the configuration, support, and training for the platform across the organization. This role will ensure that the enterprise asset management system supports business and operational goals—especially within the Transit/Transportation domain—while optimizing system use through advanced functionality such as the Extensibility Framework and FlexSQL. The analyst will lead user training efforts, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and work proactively to ensure system availability, adoption, and performance.
General Duties:
1. System Analysis
- Provides expert-level systems analysis and configuration for HxGN EAM version 11 or higher.
- Leads efforts to expand platform functionality through the Extensibility Framework.
- Designs, develops, and maintains advanced FlexSQL scripts to meet business requirements.
2. Business Partnerships
- Serves as the primary point of contact for HxGN EAM.
- Works closely with Transit/Transportation business units to analyze requirements and define optimal solutions.
- Aligns technology enhancements with industry-specific workflows and challenges.
3. Production Maintenance
- Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the HxGN EAM system.
- Monitors system performance, responds to user issues, and ensures service level agreements are met.
- Coordinates updates, enhancements, and maintenance activities while adhering to change control processes.
- Documents processes, configurations, and procedures in line with IT standards.
4. Leadership
- Leads the enterprise-wide training initiative for HxGN EAM, supporting all user levels.
- Mentors junior analysts and shares technical knowledge related to FlexSQL, configuration, and asset management best practices.
- Acts as liaison between IT, business units, vendors, and external support teams.
5. Testing
- Plans and executes system testing activities related to new deployments, patches, and customizations.
- Validates functionality against business requirements and user expectations.
Qualifications Guide:
1. Knowledge of:
- HxGN EAM version 11 or higher.
- FlexSQL development and Extensibility Framework functionality.
- Transit/Transportation industry workflows and system integration practices.
- Microsoft SQL and relational database structures.
- Asset and work management best practices.
2. Ability to:
- Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Translate business needs into actionable system enhancements.
- Conduct user training sessions and develop training materials.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Work independently and collaboratively across departments
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with HxGN EAM (version 11+), including system support and enhancement.
- At least 2–3 years of experience working in the Transit/Transportation industry.
- Demonstrated experience with FlexSQL and the Extensibility Framework.
- Experience supporting Work Orders, Equipment Management, and Planning modules in HxGN EAM.
- Master’s degree in Business Management preferred.
