• Work location is anywhere in continental USA. Preferred shift is 8-5 Eastern Time, but we can be a little flexible if we only surface west coast applicants.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with strong experience in Azure cloud infrastructure to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and cloud-based services. The role requires strong expertise in API development, data middleware architecture, observability, and robust error logging frameworks. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across application development and cloud infrastructure layers to ensure high performance, reliability, and security of distributed systems. The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using .NET technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, and C#.
• Develop high-performance REST APIs and microservices to support enterprise applications and integrations.
• Implement scalable backend services that integrate with multiple internal and external systems.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.

 
API Development

• Design and build secure RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations.
• Implement API authentication, authorization, versioning, and rate limiting.
• Ensure APIs are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop API documentation and support integration with external partners and internal teams.

Data Middleware and Integration

• Design and implement middleware services for data exchange between applications and enterprise systems.
• Develop integration layers that connect databases, third-party APIs, and internal microservices.
• Build scalable data pipelines and service orchestration layers to handle business workflows.
• Ensure data reliability, transaction consistency, and efficient data transformation.

Azure Cloud and Infrastructure

• Deploy and manage applications using Microsoft Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage.
• Manage cloud infrastructure configurations and support scalable, high-availability deployments.
• Implement infrastructure automation and environment management.
• Monitor system health and optimize resource utilization in Azure environments.

Error Logging and Observability

• Design and implement centralized error logging systems for applications and services.
• Build observability frameworks using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Implement distributed tracing, performance monitoring, and system diagnostics for microservices environments.
• Analyze logs and metrics to proactively detect issues and improve system reliability.

DevOps and Deployment

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning.
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Azure container services where applicable.
• Ensure stable production releases and environment management.

Security and Performance

• Implement secure coding practices and Azure security standards.
• Manage identity and access through Azure Active Directory and API security controls.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and cloud resource usage.
• Ensure systems meet enterprise reliability, security, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in .NET development.
• Strong experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET application architecture.
• Hands-on experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience designing data middleware and system integrations.
• Strong experience with error logging frameworks and observability tools.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with SQL Server and database design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed system architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or Event Grid.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, telemetry, and performance diagnostics.
